Job Title: MMT Pharmacy Technician (Band 5) Nottingham
Location: Nottingham, NHS Hospital
Employment Type: Full-Time (5 Days per Week)
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (30-Minute Break)
Pay Rate: £18 - £21 per hour
Start Date: November 2024
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MMT Pharmacy Technician to join our team at a reputable NHS hospital in Nottingham. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective delivery of pharmacy services to patients, specifically in a ward-based setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications in accordance with legal and professional standards.
- Conduct medication reviews and support clinical teams in managing patient medication therapies.
- Provide advice and information to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of pharmacy activities.
- Participate in stock management, ensuring adequate supply and proper storage of medications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on the wards to support optimal patient care.
Qualifications:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Medicines Management qualification or previous hospital ward-based experience required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
