Estimating Manager / Chief Estimator - are you a Senior Estimator looking to take your career overseas?

We are partnering with one of North America's major construction contractors to appoint an Estimating Manager / Chief Estimator to be based in Toronto.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Estimating Manager / Chief Estimator to join one of Canada's longest standing building contractors; with a turnover of $4bn, our client has been providing construction services to an impressive list of public and private sector clients since the 1920's.

You will join a successful team delivering commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, manufacturing, distribution, infrastructure, life sciences, sports and leisure projects ranging from $50m - $100m+.

The Estimating Manager / Chief Estimator is a 'key position' and is responsible for overseeing the estimating operations within a large business unit.

Toronto is listed as one of the 'World's Best Cities to Live' pretty much every year - it's a clean, safe, family-friendly city filled with natural landscapes and vibrant construction market.

Our client will also offer a relocation package ranging between $15K - $25K (tax-free) depending on the amount of people relocating.

Requirements:
- Experience working as Lead Estimator / Estimating Manager / Chief Estimator
- Experience leading the estimating process, mentoring and managing
- Experience working for Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor
- Willing and able to relocate to Canada

Responsibilities & Duties:
- Propose and approve bid strategies and innovations to increase bidding success
- Confirm subcontractor bids as selected are clear of irregularities
- Provide coaching and mentorship to the estimating team
- Propose and approve project risk and cost mitigation

The Package:
- Basic salary of $200K - $220K (112K - 124K GBP)
- Profit Related Company Bonus (Up to 20%)
- Tax free relocation package ($15K - $25K)
- Great company pension scheme

To qualify for the higher rate of pay you must be able to demonstrate a track record working as Lead Estimator / Estimating Manager / Chief Estimator for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contactor.
