Job Description:

Seeking a Quality Technician/Inspector to be based on-site supporting a customer program in Nottingham. The desired candidate will have previous experience in working in an Aerospace Quality Inspection role, performing inspection to engineering drawings, customer purchase order, industry standards and specifications, defining/containing non-conformance when identified by Receipt Inspection or by Customer.
The support will include:

  • Visual, documentation and packaging checks
  • Part serialisation checks
  • Dimensional inspection of suspect parts
  • Review and approval (stamp-off) of CofCs
  • Work with internal logistics to ensure affected material is quarantined and returned to supplier as required
  • Evaluate customer complaints with internal quality/ME team and launch containment if required

Experience requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 3-years previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Strong hands-on inspection experience, using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers
  • Knowledge / experience of AS9100 standards highly advantageous
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous experience of SAP and Microsoft Office tools (Excel and Word) advantageous
  • Ability to prioritise workload, and meet stringent deadlines
  • Based in a commutable distance of Nottingham
