Chase & Holland are delighted to be partnering with an exceptional business based in Nottingham in looking for a Buyer/ Planner to join and expanding purchasing team.Key Responsibilities:• Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers in the UK and overseas to ensure the best quality, cost, and delivery performance.• Procurement: Source and purchase engineering materials, components, and services in line with company policies.• Negotiation: Negotiate, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and ensure supply chain efficiency.• Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure all purchased materials and components meet the required specifications and standards.• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new suppliers.• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases and supplier performance.• Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.Qualifications:• Education: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.• Skills:• Strong negotiation and communication skills.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Knowledge of international trade regulations and logistics.• Working knowledge of Sage 200• Personal Attributes:• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective workingIf you are interested in finding out about this exciting Buyer/ Planner opportunity, please click ‘apply now’.Chase & Holland acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
