Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Engineering Buyer to join out team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and purchasing engineering material from both UK and overseas suppliers.

Ideal skills and experience:

-          Minimum of 3-5 years experience in procurement, preferably in an engineering environment

-          Strong negotiation and communication skills

-          Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

-          Able to use Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of Sage 200

-          Ability to work independently and as part of a team

-          Knowledge of international trade regulations and logistics

Key Responsibilities:

-          Identify, evaluate and manage relationships with suppliers in the UK and overseas to ensure the best quality, cost and delivery performance.

-          Source and purchase engineering materials

-          Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers

-          Working closely with the quality assurance team

-          Conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing and new suppliers

-          Maintaing accurate records

-          Ensuring all compliance is up to par with the company policy

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00 and Fridays 08:30 – 16:00
