Freelance Quantity Surveyor (Main Contractor) - 2-Month Contract - Nottingham
We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support the onsite team on a short-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy main contractor working on a variety of projects in the Nottingham area.
Role Details:
Position: Freelance Quantity Surveyor
Duration: 2 months
Location: Nottingham
Start Date: ASAP
Sector: Main Contractor
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage project cost plans, valuations, and final accounts
Assess subcontractor applications and variations
Provide accurate cost advice and reporting
Assist with procurement and tendering processes
Liaise with site teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure commercial objectives are met
Requirements:
Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a main contractor
Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Available to start immediately or at short notice
Nottingham-based or within a commutable distance
