Job Description: Freelance Quantity SurveyorLocation: MidlandsSector: Water Projects£400 - £550 per day (depending on experience)About the Role:We are recruiting on behalf of our prestigious Tier 1 client for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join their team, focusing on the commercial aspects of water projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to contribute to significant projects within the water and utilities sector.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all commercial aspects of water projects, ensuring cost control and financial management.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to ensure project efficiency.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage subcontractor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Previous experience working on projects within the water and utilities sector is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial management and contract administration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
