They are looking to take on an experienced buyer to keep up with an ever increasing workload.In this varied role, you will perform a variety of tasks, including identifying and evaluating potential new suppliers, negotiating pricing and payment terms, and coordinating with other departments. Your responsibilities will also involve managing stock levels and supply chains, tracking market trends, and completing all necessary documentation.

This exciting role would suit an experienced Buyer or similarwith a background inSupply Chain Management looking for their next opportunity to join a UK leading company that offer a bonus scheme to boost your salary package and a clear pathway for progression.The Role:

  • Obtain quotations from existing and new potential new suppliers
  • Initiate and manage tendering activities
  • Perform spend analysis and develop sourcing strategies
  • Actively seek and identify solutions and propose those to line manager
  • Analyse complex data and develop strategic plans
  • Manage and negotiate contracts
  • Monday to Friday (40 hours a week)

The Person:

  • Procurement or supply/chain related qualifications such as CIPS is required
  • Experience Managing and developing strategic Supplier relationships
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Steel purchasing experience is essential
