Family Support Worker Role

We are currently assisting a local authority in recruiting an experienced Family Support Worker to join their Targeted Support Team in Nottingham!

In this role, you will collaborate with families to provide support and promote the well-being of children and young people within the family unit. This involves conducting thorough Early Help assessments and implementing effective Early Help Family Support plans with a holistic 'Think Family' approach.

As a Family Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting Early Help assessments and implementing Early Help Family Support Plans.
  • Minimising the risk of abuse, neglect, and the need for statutory social care intervention.
  • Working in partnership with families to ensure timely and appropriate support.
  • Proactively engaging and supporting vulnerable and challenging children, young people, and their families to strengthen the family unit and improve outcomes.
  • Employing a 'Think Family' approach to coordinate and enhance collaboration among all services working with the family.
  • Implementing, monitoring, and reviewing family support intervention plans and evidence-based parenting programs.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:

  • Experience in direct work with children and families.
  • A valid UK Drivers License and access to your own vehicle.
