Ashfield District Council have a great opportunity for a Wellbeing Assistant to join our team based in Kirkby in Ashfield. You will join us on a part time, 28 hours per week, fixed term contract for 18 months and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £20,970 - £22,748 per annum.

An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team, working with partners to address health inequalities across Ashfield

The role includes:

  • Proactively engaging with residents in priority communities to better understand their needs and support them to achieve their aspirations.
  • Developing connections with and between a range of local partners including the voluntary and community sector to support residents to improve their health and wellbeing.
  • Supporting the Wellbeing team to deliver health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Supporting and empowering voluntary and community groups to deliver services.
  • Support the Leisure Operator’s Active Communities Team to deliver the Active Communities Plan.
  • Leading initiatives to reduce health inequalities for example: smoking, alcohol and drug misuse, physical inactivity, food insecurity, mental health, and long-term health conditions
  • Delivering and promoting Wellbeing at Work initiatives
