About the Role:

We are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a leading company in the electrical and charging technology industry, seeking a skilled Embedded Firmware Engineer to join their growing R&D team. This is a vital position, focusing on developing and maintaining firmware for smart charging technologies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects in a dynamic and expanding sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain firmware for smart charging functionality, ensuring compliance with OCPP, ISO61851, ISO15118, MID 2014/32/EU, and WELMEC 7.2 standards.

- Manage source code version control and oversee project development.

- Collaborate with production and operations teams to provide technical support.

Candidate Profile:

- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development.

- Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages on ARM 32-64Bit cores.

- Experience with RTOS operating systems and embedded Linux.

- Proven ability to design structured code and manage version control processes.

- Prior experience in the EV or Energy Meter industries, with knowledge of OCPP and MID standards.

Technical Skills:

- Familiarity with development tools such as Clion, Yocto, STM32, ESP32-IDF, and VScode (preferred but not essential).

- Experience with communication technologies including CANbus, MODbus, WiFi, and BLE (advantageous).
