Health and Safety Lead - Construction

Carrington West is delighted to be supporting our prestigious client in their search for an experienced Health and Safety Manager within the construction sector. This role is essential in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety across various construction projects in Nottinghamshire.
Key Responsibilities:
·Health and Safety Implementation: Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations.
·Risk Assessments: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
·Site Audits: Carry out regular site audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols and legislation.
·Incident Investigations: Lead thorough site investigations following any incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
About the Role:
·Duration: Initial 6-month contract with the likelihood of extension.
·Working Arrangement: This role offers a balance between site-based work and office-based responsibilities, giving you the flexibility to manage your time effectively.
·Rate: Competitive pay of £45/hour.
Qualifications and Experience:
·NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
·IOSH Membership or similar professional affiliation.
·Proven experience in a Health and Safety role within the construction industry.
·Strong knowledge of current health and safety legislation, with a track record of implementing effective safety strategies.
·Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and promote a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization.
