Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician

Up to £48,000 + bonus + OT + benefits

Nottingham area

 

MC Technical Recruitment are currently seeking a mechanically biased Multi Skilled Technician to join an Energy from Waste facility in Nottingham. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for pre-planned and reactive maintenance across the facility to ensure minimum downtime and maximum plant availability.

 

As the Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Day to day maintenance and fault finding work on a wide range of electro mechanical plant equipment including cranes, pumps, fans, conveyors, drives
  • Updating the site CMMS as required
  • Assisting with outage planning and execution
  • Providing technical support to the operations team when required
  • Working alongside other Technicians and the Maintenance Team Leader with regards to plant projects and upgrades

 

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • A relevant engineering qualification such as HNC/ONC/NVQ level 3 ideally in mechanical engineering
  • At least 4 years of post-apprenticeship experience working in the maintenance department of a heavy process plant e.g. power station, EFW, biomass, chemical plant, refinery, paper mill etc
  • Experience carrying out maintenance and repair work on pumps, fans conveyors, gearboxes, valves etc
  • Experience updating a CMMS
  • A good work ethic and the ability and aptitude to cross train on electrical plant equipment
  • A good understanding of all HSE aspects - an IOSH would be ideal
