Day-to-day of the role:- Provide guidance and support to students undertaking HPQ and EPQ, helping them to raise their aspirations and successfully progress to level 3 study at the college.
- Work closely with students to develop their project management skills, research capabilities, and critical thinking.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and additional support where necessary.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student development and achievement.
- Participate in the development of resources and strategies to enhance the learning experience and outcomes for students.
- Experience or knowledge in assisting students with project-based qualifications such as HPQ or through a pastoral role.
- A teaching qualification or teaching experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in a coaching or pastoral role is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of academic achievement and progression pathways.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
