What You Will Do:

  • Design and develop sustainable products, parts, and solutions that align with environmental goals and customer needs.
  • Conduct validation testing and further develop products to ensure they meet high standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in product design and incorporate innovative ideas into projects.
  • Ensure all products meet regulatory standards for safety, function, and reliability.
  • Create full manufacturing specifications, including detailed drawings and engineering BOMs.
  • Collaborate with the Product Development Team to deliver on the New Product Development (NPD) program and product improvements.

What You Will Bring:

  • A degree in mechanical engineering and/or BTEC Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering with an engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrable experience in solving problems and creating sustainable design solutions.
  • Proficiency in using a 3D CAD system, ideally SolidWorks, and competent with Microsoft packages.
  • Experience in designing with plastic materials and producing technical reports.
  • Experience in a product design capacity, especially with machined brass components/tolerancing or in the electrical consumer product sector.
