About The Role:

We require a trained, experienced, and qualified Class 2 HGV Driver who is looking to work for an globally established distribution company Monday-Sunday (working 26 weekend days of the year, 40-hours per week). All deliveries will be on pallets and candidates will be completing between 2-8 drops per day.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires a reliable individual who can operate Class 2 vehicles and manage the logistics of transporting products effectively.

Duties

  • Operate a Class 2 vehicle for the safe and timely delivery of goods.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items for transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • Assist in the planning of routes to optimise delivery efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Good physical fitness, as the role involves lifting heavy items and being on the move throughout the day.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • Full UK driving licence (we will need to complete a DVLA check).
  • Digital tacho.
  • Driver CPC Card.
  • Eligible to work in the UK full-time.
  • HGV Class 2 Driver experience.
