Alexander First School is a small welcoming fully inclusive First School and Foundation Stage with children aged from 3 years to 9 years. Graded good in last OFSTED inspection.

We are looking for an SEMH mentor to work in our alternative provision and support the delivery of an equine programme to children aged between 6-16 who have become, or are at risk of, becoming disengaged from mainstream education.

Under the direction of the SEMH lead you will be required to:

  • Support children to engage in the equine programme
  • Carry out small group work and interventions on horse theory, stable management and ground work
  • 1:1 support for children with SEMH needs
