About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our thriving school community in Okehampton. You will lead engaging lessons, deliver practical demonstrations, and support students in achieving academic success in a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Inspiring Lessons: Plan and teach engaging lessons in Food Technology, incorporating both theory and hands-on practical activities.
- Curriculum Development: Ensure lessons meet curriculum requirements and are tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Student Assessment: Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage development.
- Health & Safety Oversight: Maintain a safe and hygienic learning environment, ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed.
- Pastoral Care: Support student's personal development, welfare, and progress within a positive classroom environment.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for this role.
- Specialisation: Background in Food Technology or related subject.
- Experience: Previous teaching experience at the secondary level is highly desirable.
- Passion for Teaching: A commitment to inspiring and engaging students in the subject.
- Strong Organisational Skills: Ability to manage lesson planning, assessment, and classroom management effectively.
