About the Role
our client is looking to appoint two temporary Financial administrators to support their team in delivering financial support services for Adult Social Care. This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and a background in finance or administration.
you will play a key role in managing financial assessments, processing invoices, handling income collection, and supporting debt recovery for social care services. You will also liaise with clients, care providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Processing - Handle purchase and sales ledger tasks, process payments for social care services, and support Free Nursing Care payments.
- Financial Assessments - Conduct financial assessments for individuals accessing social care services.
- Debt Recovery - Support the debt recovery function by managing outstanding payments.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement - Attend meetings with service users at their homes or in care settings and provide financial guidance.
- Customer Service - Respond to queries via phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Administrative Support - Use various computer applications, maintain accurate records, and process incoming correspondence.

What they’re Looking For
- Education: Minimum of 4 GCSEs (A-C) including English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Experience: Previous experience in finance, administration, or customer service.
- Skills:
- Strong numerical ability and experience using financial systems.
- Ability to work accurately, quickly, and independently.
- Good communication and telephone skills.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in IT systems and maintaining digital/manual records.
- Desirable: A finance background is preferred.
