What You Will Do:
- - Maintain plant equipment to the highest standards, ensuring all machinery runs smoothly and efficiently.
- - Complete preventative maintenance tasks, reducing downtime and enhancing productivity.
- - Get involved in exciting project work, including the installation and relocation of both new and existing equipment.
- - Uphold safe working practices, ensuring all activities comply with health and safety standards.
- - Accurately record and document work completed using state-of-the-art PC/Mobile based maintenance software.
- - Work across multi-site locations when required, demonstrating flexibility and a team-player attitude.
What You Will Bring:
- - A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter within the steel industry.Â
- - A thorough understanding of mechanical fitting and maintenance practices.
- - Proven experience in maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- - A strong understanding of safe systems of work and an excellent attention to detail.
- - Desirable: Experience in power press maintenance & repairs, and a formal qualification in mechanical engineering/maintenance.
