Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Shifts

What You Will Do:

  • - Maintain plant equipment to the highest standards, ensuring all machinery runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • - Complete preventative maintenance tasks, reducing downtime and enhancing productivity.
  • - Get involved in exciting project work, including the installation and relocation of both new and existing equipment.
  • - Uphold safe working practices, ensuring all activities comply with health and safety standards.
  • - Accurately record and document work completed using state-of-the-art PC/Mobile based maintenance software.
  • - Work across multi-site locations when required, demonstrating flexibility and a team-player attitude.

What You Will Bring:

  • - A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/Fitter within the steel industry. 
  • - A thorough understanding of mechanical fitting and maintenance practices.
  • - Proven experience in maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • - A strong understanding of safe systems of work and an excellent attention to detail.
  • - Desirable: Experience in power press maintenance & repairs, and a formal qualification in mechanical engineering/maintenance.
