£24,000 to £26,000 Basic Salary

Monday to Friday 9.00 to 6.00pm.

Our client is seeking a skilled Transport Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day organisation of operations in the depot through the allocation and basic routing of vehicles. Responsibilities:

  • Utilise computerised systems for record-keeping and information retrieval
  • Scan and email over driver dispatch papers to Accounts
  • Deal with customer collections
  • Efficiently manage daily administrative duties to ensure smooth operation within the transport department
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
  • Accurately input data into systems, maintaining up-to-date and precise information for seamless transport operations.
  • Answer and direct phone calls while addressing any related queries
  • Manage office supplies and maintain an orderly office environment
  • Create Purchase Orders (POs), update spreadsheets, and receipt orders
  • Complete weekly payroll tasks with meticulous attention to detail to ensure timely and accurate compensation for our valued drivers.
  • Raise invoices, handle queries, and ensure all financial transactions are conducted smoothly and efficiently.
  • Print and prepare all necessary paperwork for drivers, ensuring they have everything required for their routes.

Skills Required:

  • Previous Administration experience within a similar role , logistics or transport advantageous.
  • Excellent Attention to Detail: A keen eye for accuracy and precision in all tasks.
  • Good Time Management Skills: The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Previous Administration Experience: Prior experience in an administrative role is essential to seamlessly fit into our team.
  • Strong IT Skills: Proficiency in IT and adeptness in using various software applications.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and address queries efficiently.
