HLTA needed

Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with the confidence and ability to lead and manage whole-class teaching? Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and proactive HLTA to join a thriving primary school in Oldbury, providing support across the primary age range.

This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic school environment, covering classes across the primary age range as required. You will take on the responsibility of leading and managing whole-class groups, delivering lessons, and ensuring high-quality learning experiences for all students. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HLTA looking to take on greater responsibility and make a real impact in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage whole class teaching across different year groups as required.
Support the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons from EYFS to KS2.
Provide targeted support for students with varying needs, including SEN and EAL.
Assist in maintaining a positive and effective learning environment.
Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and inclusive space for all students.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
Work collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure student success.

The Ideal Candidate:
HLTA qualification (or equivalent) with experience working in a primary school setting.
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum across all age groups.
Confidence in leading and managing full class groups.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting student learning.

HLTA Experience, Training and Qualifications
It is essential that you have relevant qualifications and experience taking full class groups in either a permanent or supply cover role.
Up-to-date Safeguarding training is imperative; you can undertake a free course with Prospero Teaching if you have not completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months.
Strong behaviour management skills are a must.
