Pay/Salary: £26,785.00 - 33,482.00 / annum, £ 12.88 - £16.10/ hour - must be relevant to level of experience, no overtime available
Working Hours/Shift Pattern:
08:30 - 17:30 Monday - Friday, 1-hour unpaid lunch, 40 hours/week
There is the possibility that this role could be hybrid with a 3 / 2 office to home days split per week but won't be immediately after starting, the role will be full time on-site until otherwise.

Role Summary:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll activities for employees in the UK and Ireland in line with compliance and statutory regulations. Be a key point of contact for employee payroll queries, providing exceptional support and customer service.
Main duties & responsibilities:
- Payroll processing:
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and contract staff where applicable.
- Manage payroll adjustments, including bonuses, overtime, commissions, and leave entitlements.
- Manage payroll aspects of employee benefits, including pensions, healthcare, and other deductions. Ensure timely submission and reconciliation of pension contributions and benefits payments
- Prepare and submit statutory reports, including P45s, P60s, P11Ds, and RTI submissions.
- Undertake month end financial reporting
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, such as tax, National Insurance, pensions, and other deductions with compliance with UK and Ireland legislation, including HMRC and Revenue requirements.
- Collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies and create reporting to support audit processes
- Employee Support:
- Address and resolve employee payroll queries, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Provide guidance to employees on payroll matters, including tax codes, deductions, and benefits.
- Support new hires and leavers by managing payroll-related aspects of onboarding and offboarding.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
- Focus on enhancement to employee education and communication to provide exception customer support
KPI's
- Percentage of payroll processed accurately- Goal: Achieve 98.5% or higher accuracy rate.
- Timeliness of Payroll Processing- Goal: Achieve 100% on-time delivery.
Compliance Metrics
- Number of compliance issues identified during audits.- Goal: Zero compliance issues.
- Employee Query Resolution- Goal: Resolve 90% of queries in 24 hours, 95% in 48 hours
- Percentage of audit documentation prepared accurately and on time. - Goal: Ensure 100% audit readiness.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Must have experience of processing UK payroll from end to end
- Experience with payroll software systems (Resourcelink, ADP, Sage, or similar platforms)
- It would be desirable if the person had experience of working with Zellis/ Resourcelink
- It is essential this person has been part of end-to-end UK payroll processing and using multiple payroll software IF they don't have direct resource link experience.
- Proven track record in managing payroll audits and ensuring compliance.
Essential Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret and manage payroll data.
- Familiarity with year-end payroll activities, including P60s, P11Ds, and Irish end-of-year filings
- Strong excel skills to undertake data analysis and reporting.
- Problem-solving skills to address payroll discrepancies and challenges.
