Our client has a newly created for an enthusiastic and talented Digital Communications Officer

Experience

  • Our client is at the beginning of its digital communications journey; therefore, the Digital Communications Officer will help develop and nurture our digital channels, using co-creation techniques, together with technical knowledge and expertise
  • This role is central to developing our digital presence and engaging with both internal and external audiences through various digital channels
  • You will be responsible for engaging with internal and external audiences by creating accurate, appealing, timely, and consistent copy and digital media. Your content will reflect our values and mission, ensuring an appealing and engaging digital presence
  • This role demands a high level of creativity and the ability to use insight to expand our digital footprint. You will be instrumental in driving more value through online content, using analytics to inform and refine our digital strategy
  • As part of the communications function, you will initially lead an exciting project to implement a new staff intranet. This involves running workshops, setting up editing groups, and utilising your knowledge of web content management systems to ensure a smooth and effective rollout
  • You will play a key role in creating digital content for our LinkedIn social media channel. This includes crafting engaging copy, capturing compelling photography, producing podcasts, and employing other social media skills to enhance our online engagement.

Duties

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent is preferable but equivalent experience will be considered
  • Experience of using digital communication channels and tools including social media and web techniques and systems to maximise digital engagement
  • Good understanding of digital technologies such as SEO, Google Analytics, social media platforms, in particular LinkedIn, the Microsoft 365 suite, Adobe Creative and Google Ads
  • Experience of managing social media for an organisation or company and of using analytics to monitor and improve digital performance
  • Proven experience of working with internal and external digital communications and editing intranets and websites
  • Passion for and experience of managing and producing a variety of online content and/or digital communications (such as video/audio, infographics, blogs and social media posts)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, copywriting experience and editing skills
  • Experience of working with a wide range of people, ideally engaging with diverse audiences including disadvantaged groups
  • A strong team player able to inspire colleagues to adopt new ways of working
  • Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills with an ability to take the initiative
  • Excellent administrative skills and ability to develop and maintain internal systems to store information compliant with legislation (such as GDPR) and good practice
  • Experience of working in a digital transformational role
