We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. We are working with a SEN school in the Sandwell borough. This role involves supporting children with special educational needs, including those with physical impairments, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN, including those with physical impairments, adapting learning materials as required.

Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN, adapting learning materials as required.

Assist the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring students feel supported and engaged.

Support students with personal care needs (if required).

Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.

Encourage independence and confidence in students with additional needs.
Requirements:

Experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable but not essential).

A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Qualification) are desirable but not essential.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
