Due to their ongoing commitment to ambitious and controlled growth UK wide, our client now wishes to appoint a Temporary Works Design Engineer.

The Role

Produce design drawings, calculations and material call offs

Carry out checks on your own designs before offering to the Team Leader for approval

Check other team members preliminary drawings if required

If requested by the Senior Engineer liaise between the design team and the client

Visit sites and offer assistance as required

Improve your design capabilities and attend any training required if necessary

Perform all design related duties as per company procedures and client requirements

Keep up to-date with knowledge of industry standards and construction techniques.

The Person

Ideally you should possess an HNC or HND in a related field or be working towards this

You will be flexible and have a drive to excel across all aspects

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels

Possess the relevant experience to produce designs, drawings, calculations and material call offs from within any area of the civil engineering or temporary works sector

Develop your skills to adopt the latest software and techniques utilized by the design team

Accept responsibility for your own actions and decisions and demonstrate commitment to accomplish your work in an ethical, efficient and cost-effective manner.

Able to adjust your planned work by gathering relevant information and applying critical thinking to address multiple demands and competing priorities in a changing environment

Able to effectively convey information and expresses thoughts and facts
