Graduate or Assistant Geo Environmental Engineer

My client is looking for either a Graduate Geo-Environmental or Assistant Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their team based in Oldham. The role includes assisting and implementing the organisation of projects in the field as well as the office, providing input as directed into the planning aspects to the project. Accountable for field based logistics including ensuring that the project specification is followed, correct equipment is used and maintained on site and correct health and safety procedures are followed.
 
Guidance on specific requirements will be given during the employee induction
 
Candidates are expected to ensure that all technical and site work is carried out to a high standard, safely, on time and within budget. Key division of time spent on each part of the job will be set on an annual basis and reviewed regularly.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
·BSc in Earth Sciences related degree
 
PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE
 
·Execution of ground investigations
·Contract management on site to including delivery of projects on time and to maximize profits from each contract.
·Contribute expertise and provide input into the siteworks of new projects.
 
COMMUNICATION AND SELF MANAGEMENT
 
·Maintain an effective line of communication between site and the office.
·Maintain courteous and professional relations with clients and build upon the reputation of the company within the industry.
·Build effective working relationships with other technical specialists
·Manage own time to ensure effective use of both billable and non-billable hours
·Work with Project Managers and Line Managers to develop personal objectives
·Participate in professional growth opportunities and training and manage own career by being accountable for one's behaviour, performance and development
·Ensure alignment of behaviours, decisions and actions to meet standards expected
 
MAINTENANCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
 
·Contribute to and support company procedures and policies to enhance company performance and profitability.
·Support the maintenance of the quality, environmental and health and safety accreditations.

MONITORING AND AUDITING
 
·Assist the project managers in monitoring contractual and assurance performance.
