The Role

As the Transport and Production Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning daily routes, managing driver schedules, maintaining vehicle records, and ensuring efficient communication between production, customers, and drivers. This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to manage an ever-changing transport planner while handling a variety of customer-facing and administrative tasks.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Route planning for company drivers and managing vehicle logistics.
  • Coordinating with production teams to ensure smooth workflows and schedules.
  • Handling site paperwork and keeping accurate records.
  • Communicating with customers and drivers to provide updates and ensure KPIs are met.
  • Overseeing vehicle maintenance and performing weekly checks.
  • Managing driver working hours, logs, and legal compliance.
  • Processing orders and collections through our database and ensuring timely updates to customers.
  • Managing relationships with third-party hauliers, ensuring efficient operations and KPI adherence.
  • Organising product transfers between sites.
  • Preparing and delivering monthly customer reports and internal management updates.

You will also provide support to the accounts department during month-end closures and handle some order placement and data input responsibilities.

What We're Looking For
  • B2B Customer service experience and a strong business acumen.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures meticulously.
  • Strong time management skills and an ability to perform under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with SAGE Accounts is a plus but not required.
  • A team player who is reliable, responsible, and proactive.
  • Excellent communication skills for managing relationships with drivers, customers, and third-party partners.
