Group Tax Manager (PART TIME)

Resourcery Group are working with a market leading international business based near Oldham as they look to recruit a Group Tax Manager. This is a part time opportunity with one of the regions recent success stories. 

Our client is well known as a brilliant place to work and has an excellent reputation. Recent performance has been outstanding both in the UK and internationally and the Group Tax Manager will join an impressive and well-respected finance team at a time of growth. 

The Group Tax manager will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the UK Group's corporate tax matters including VAT, employment taxes, compliance and tax planning.  Additionally, as the role develops there will be opportunity for interesting project work including providing strategic tax input on M&A activity.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a well established, Oldham based business on an upwards trajectory. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Full responsibility for all taxation matters for the UK business.
  • Significantly reduce the reliance on our external tax advisors.
  • Corporate tax planning and compliance, including preparation and management of the year-end tax computations, control of tax payments, and support in tax planning initiatives.
  • Responsibility for VAT compliance and submission of quarterly VAT returns including review of VAT returns prepared by local finance teams.
  • Management of employee tax compliance, and advice and guidance to HR on employee tax issues.
  • Ownership of all tax related P&L and balance sheet numbers as part of the month end close process.
  • Supporting the planning process by providing group tax forecasts.
  • Assist in evaluating, monitoring and mitigating tax compliance risks, and advising of where changes in tax laws will affect the group.
  • Implementation of group transfer pricing policies and maintenance of the transfer pricing documentation.
  • Involvement in M&A projects – from due diligence and tax planning, through to integration of acquisitions

Key Requirements 

  • ACA and/or CTA qualified
  • Senior Manager or above in practice or several years in-house experience
  • Self-starter with ability to manage wide variety of output and conflicting deadlines
  • Strong communication and team working skills
  • Not afraid to propose and then drive change
