Job Description:

GSL Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Psychology Graduates to join Primary schools in Oldham, OL1. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to gain valuable experience in an educational setting and support students' academic and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their learning in a classroom setting, under the guidance of teaching staff
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them with their academic and personal development
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs
  • Utilize your psychology knowledge to understand and address the diverse needs of students
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, counsellors, and other support staff to enhance the educational experience for students
  • Uphold and follow the policies of the school

Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology 
  • A genuine interest in working with young people and supporting their development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential
