Overview:

Oasis are keen to recruit a pro-active IT Apprentice with a can-do, mature attitude towards their work.  You will be required to undertake a variety of tasks and gain all round experience within a busy technical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth running of ICT systems to facilitate teaching, learning, administration and leadership
  • To allow the effective use of ICT by teaching staff, admin staff, leadership and students and to improve both their understanding of ICT and their experience of its use
  • To provide remote and face to face technical support in line with the academy’s ICT support service definition
  • To support pupils and staff in the appropriate use of ICT, through advice or training

Required skills:

  • An IT technical background
  • Evidence of being a good communicator
  • Enthusiastic approach to customer service
  • Good technical skills
  • Strong audio visual skills
  • Strongly task-driven/multi-tasking
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.  

Entry Requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
