Role: Senior Planner Salary: 45k Location: Oldham I am looking for a Senior Planner to join my client's busy team within a manufacturing company in Oldham. Under the direction of the Global Purchasing/Supply Chain Manager, the Senior Planner will be responsible for ensuring the on-time and cost-efficient delivery of all materials to meet customer demand schedules. Effective coordination of overseas material shipments and strong management of the Purchasing team are essential for success in this role. Daily duties include: - Analyse sales trends and inventory needs across all categories, considering volume, value, and SKU requirements. - Oversee stock planning and replenishment to align inventory with the UK sales plan. - Develop and implement supply plans by guiding the Purchasing team. - Coach and manage the Purchasing team. - Efficiently manage stock and supply chain activities to meet production requirements. - Monitor and report inventory forecasts, aiming to improve accuracy. - Contribute to KPI design and refinement for effective business updates. - Maintain communication with key stakeholders to leverage commercial opportunities. - Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely supply. Strong Excel skills are essential, as well as an enthusiastic approach and can do attitude. Strong people management skills are also essential.
