Manchester City Council are looking for a Landlord Compliance Co-ordinator to join our team on a temporary basis for 3 - 6 months. This role is crucial for providing first-rate customer service and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, thereby directly contributing to the service and organisational objectives.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for both internal and external customers, delivering excellent front-line customer service.
  • Determine the needs of customers and advise on the most appropriate actions, liaising with other service areas and agencies, and arranging necessary assistance.
  • Process a variety of customer requests and assist in completing relevant information in accordance with service processes, procedures, and legislation, ensuring accuracy and currency of information.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of management information systems, identifying opportunities for increased efficiency and enhanced support.
  • Validate documents following relevant guidelines and actively work to detect and reduce fraud.
  • Process payments for customers accurately, adhering to Manchester City Council’s financial regulations.
  • Identify potential risks to customers accessing the service and escalate issues through the appropriate channels.
  • Develop effective partnerships and collaborative working arrangements with other services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in customer service or compliance, preferably within a public sector or property management context.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Strong IT Skills, as you would need to use Microsoft Office word, excel spreadsheets 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively managing customer interactions.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Proficient in using management information systems and processing financial transactions.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
