Buyer

As a Buyer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining an uninterrupted flow of goods into our manufacturing facility, ensuring operational efficiency and meeting customer demands. Balancing price, quality, and delivery, you'll secure supplies that drive our business forward.

This role is ideal for experienced Buyers / Purchasers with a keen eye for detail, previous experience in procurement within a manufacturing setting, and adeptness at navigating complex supply chains. Strong organisational skills and proficiency in essential software are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the supply chain to meet production and customer demand.
• Purchasing of goods, materials and services.
• Utilising ERP & MRP systems
• Maintain supplier performance.
• Evaluate areas of improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
• Resolve issues on price, quality, delivery, and invoices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Buyer / Purchaser
• Strong ERP & MRP systems experience (Epicor advantegous)
• Experience within Manufacturing or Engineering
• Strong IT skills using MS packages.

Location: Oldham
6-month PAYE Contract (with strong potential to go Perm).
Pay Rate: £16.34 - £18.75 p/hr PAYE (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full Time - 40hrs, 07:45-16:30 Mon-Thurs, 07:45-12:45 Fri
