Mainstream – Secondary School

Oldham

Job type: Temporary to Permanent

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm

Salary: £140 - £200 Per day

Expected start date: April 2025

Value Education are working with an exceptional secondary school in the Oldham area that are looking for an experienced Teacher of Maths.

This is a long-term position starting after the Easter holidays, with the right candidate having the opportunity to go onto a permanent contract.

Teacher of Maths Job Duties:

  • Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons to students
  • Plan and prepare lesson materials in line with the curriculum
  • Assess and evaluate student progress regularly
  • Provide feedback to students and parents on academic performance
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment

Teacher of Maths requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Prior experience teaching mathematics at the secondary school level
  • Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Mathematics
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
