Job Summary:As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal products according to specifications and drawings. You will work with various materials such as steel, aluminium, and stainless steel while ensuring high-quality standards and safety regulations are adhered to. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using various tools and equipment (e.g., shears, presses, and brakes).
• Weld, assemble, and finish metal components as per specifications.
• Perform quality checks at different stages of fabrication to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members and management to improve processes and productivity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues as they arise.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Assist in inventory management, including tracking materials and supplies.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator or in a similar role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools, as well as welding equipment (MIG, TIG, etc.).
• Knowledge of various metal materials and their properties.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards for quality workmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant vocational training or certification in fabrication or metalworking.
• Experience with CNC machinery is a plus.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the workplace.
