Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Candidate Specification
- A 2:1 or higher degree in Psychology, Education, Special Educational Needs, or a related field.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with students.
- Resilient, empathetic, and patient, with a calm and nurturing approach.
- Previous experience working with children in any capacity (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, care work, or youth work) is desirable but not essential.
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Job Specification
- Full-time, long-term Graduate Teaching Assistant role
- Earn up to £520 per week.
- Support students with SEN on a 1:1 and small-group basis, helping them access learning.
- Work closely with teachers and SEN specialists to create personalised support plans.
- Assist students with communication, emotional regulation, and academic progress.
- Help students develop confidence, independence, and social skills.
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, term-time only.
