Job Description:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join a school in Werneth, OL8. This role is vital in supporting students who require additional help in managing their behaviour and achieving their full potential within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with students who exhibit challenging behaviour to support their social and emotional development
  • Develop and implement individualized behaviour    support plans
  • Provide one-on-one and small group interventions to address behavioural issues
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a consistent approach to behaviour    management
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing regular feedback to staff and parents
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school environment that encourages positive behaviour
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a conducive learning environment
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities
  • Uphold and follow the policies of the school

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behaviour   al challenges
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, counselling or a related field are desirable but not essential
