Main Responsibilities
- Individualised Education Planning - collaborating with parents, colleagues, and specialists to create education plans that address specific needs of each student.
- Conducting Assessments - conducting assessments to determine the underlying causes and develop appropriate interventions.
- Behaviour Management - Develop and implement behaviour management strategies and techniques to support students and manage their behaviour effectively.
- Crisis Intervention - Responding to and managing crisis situations that may arise due to challenging behaviours while maintain the safety of everybody involved.
- Instructional Planning - Creating and adapting instructional materials and strategies to meet the individual learning needs of students with complex behaviours, including modifying curriculum content and delivery methods.
Requirements
- Patience and flexibility
- Understanding of behaviour management techniques
- Experience in differentiated instruction and learning
- Possess a teaching qualification
