Job Description:We are seeking a passionate and experienced Science Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible science lessons to a class of six students with SEN and SEMH needs. You will work closely with other staff members to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated science lessons that cater to the individual needs of students.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and enhance their learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching science, preferably in an SEN setting.
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a commitment to supporting the development of all students.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
