Job Description:We are seeking a passionate and experienced Science Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible science lessons to a class of six students with SEN and SEMH needs. You will work closely with other staff members to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated science lessons that cater to the individual needs of students.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and enhance their learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching science, preferably in an SEN setting.
- Strong understanding of special educational needs and inclusive teaching practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a commitment to supporting the development of all students.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
