  • Job Type: Part-time – 8.45am – 12.00pm every day (Long-term supply with potential for permanent)

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our nursery/reception class team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and looking to make a significant impact in the formative years of young learners. The position starts in January 2025 and offers the potential to become a permanent role.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the delivery of daily activities and lessons designed for nursery and reception-aged children.
  • Support the class teacher in preparing educational materials and classroom setup.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Engage with children individually and in groups, facilitating learning and play activities.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Assist with the organisation and storage of learning resources and materials.
  • Ensure the health and safety of children is maintained during all activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with nursery and reception-aged children.
  • Strong understanding of early years educational needs and classroom management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and teaching support.
  • Relevant qualifications in childcare or education are preferred but not essential.
