The Role:

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Social Media Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing our social media presence across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Tik?Tok. You will collaborate closely with other team members in our on-site office to create compelling content, advertise our products, and engage with our online community. Additionally, you will assist with website administration, data analytics including uploading new products and ensuring our online store is up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management:
  • Develop, plan, and execute social media strategies across various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok (this is an area they are looking to grow).
  • Create and curate engaging content (posts, stories, reels, videos) that highlights our products and brand.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media channels.
  • Track and analyse social media metrics to optimise performance and engagement.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and tools to keep our content fresh and relevant.

Advertising:

It would be desirable if you have previously designed and run paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms to promote products and drive sales.

Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all channels.

Website Administration:

Assist with uploading new products to the website, including writing product descriptions, and ensuring accurate information.

Monitor the website for any updates or changes needed to improve user experience.

Use AI tools like ChatGPT to generate content ideas, write product descriptions, and streamline communication.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the marketing, design, and sales teams to align social media efforts with overall business goals.

Contribute creative ideas and insights during team meetings to enhance our online presence.

The Person:

  • Good social media presence
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, particularly Facebook and Instagram.
  • Strong understanding of social media metrics and tools for analysing performance.
  • Experience in running paid social media advertising campaigns.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS) and basic website administration.
  • Knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT for content creation and communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for home decor and online retail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an onsite office environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Graphic design skills or familiarity with design tools like Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
  • Basic photography or video editing skills for creating high-quality content.
