Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a SHEQ Coordinator to work on exciting projects within the business.

As a member of the Operations team, your role involves managing and coordinating activities that support the health, safety and quality operations.You will be a pivotal part of the team, working collaboratively in a customer-centric and business-savvy capacity, efficiently managing health and safety, whilst employing a logical and methodical problem solving approach and a continual improvement approach.

SHEQ Coordinator Responsibilities:

Drive safety culture throughout the business with hands-on shop floor approach

Maintain existing SHEQ systems, making improvements where necessary

Maintain ISO9001 and 140001 customer and environment policies

Draft and update policies relating to HSE and Quality

Collate Data to share at management meetings monthly and to recommend and make improvements

Record incidents and near misses effectively

Oversee and maintain Quality Audits

Tool box talks

Oversee visible route of 5S

Complete Conformance Data Weekly

Undertake risk assessments with new products

Non Essential/Nice to Have

May have background in mechanical engineering/fabrication environments

May have knowledge of Route Cause Analysis

Continuous Improvement knowledge

You will ideally be

Hands-on/Shop Floor focused confident to question actions and make recommendations

Data-driven, able to collate information to help make informed recommendations to board level

The role will be wide and varied and will have full autonomy, with the support of the Operations Manager, to effectively oversee SHEQ within the workplace.The environment is an SME with 12 staff on the Shop Floor, and other larger numbers spread throughout the business and various roles.

The business is growing rapidly, therefore these numbers will continue to grow, and therefore responsibilities and your own career will continue to grow.

You will have full support from the Operations Manager, who can assist in driving areas such as Continuous Improvement and Risk Assessments.

Many systems are already in place, and recently audited for ISO9001 and ISO140001, therefore will be maintaining existing systems, and recommending and implementing improvements where necessary.
