We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for a finance professional who excels in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic analysis. You will be instrumental in shaping the financial landscape of our company, ensuring compliance, and leading our finance team towards excellence.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Prepare and present financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and manage the annual budget, conduct financial forecasting, and advise on corrective actions for variances.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls, manage audits, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Oversee cash management, including accounts payable and receivable, to ensure operational liquidity.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic business decisions and assist in strategic planning.
  • Lead and develop the accounting team, promoting best practices and adherence to updated accounting standards.
  • Manage tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely filing of tax returns and liaising with tax authorities.
  • Monitor and control expenses, implementing cost-saving initiatives to optimize profitability.
  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies, ensuring adequate insurance coverage.
  • Oversee financial systems and drive process improvements for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic analysis.
  • Import or export experience will be highly beneficial 
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in team management and development.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, with a keen eye for process improvement.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
