I am excited to be working with a growing business who is seeking a dedicated Account Manager to maintain and grow sales and gross profit within a set group of customers, including well-known fast food and restaurant brands, as well as other foodservice companies. The ideal candidate will be committed to keeping customer loyalty through exceptional service and maintaining strong relationships.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Engage with the Business Development (BD) team and prospects to understand the business won and facilitate a smooth onboarding process.
  • Become the primary customer contact point through the launch phase and manage these new customers as their internal point of contact ongoing.
  • Understand customer basket spend and our share of that, ensuring forecasts are in place for products we supply and are regularly reviewed.
  • Assist customers with all enquiries for products, prices, samples, and information, processing orders and forwarding to customer service for delivery as needed.
  • Field complaints and compliance queries through Quality Control (QC).
  • Maintain and improve margins through product swap outs, cost reductions, and price increases.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Drive and passion for results with a focus on outcomes.
  • Self-starter who is confident in communicating via phone, email, and in meetings.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team with good time and project/task management skills.
  • A solution finder who can quickly adapt and is open to always learning.
  • Previous experience in the Foodservice market or packaging is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in the use of Pipedrive or a similar CRM system.
  • Literate (Grade C GCSE minimum) and numerate with analytical skills (Grade C GCSE Maths minimum).
  • Comfortable user of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc).
