Our client is a well-established maintenance and landscaping company, seeking an experienced garden team leader to join their respected firm. With multiple teams managing a range of commercial and domestic properties, they are looking for a skilled individual to join their team and contribute to its continued success.

Key Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity is now available for a full-time, experienced professional to join a friendly team based in Orpington. The successful candidate will earn between £36,000 and £39,000 (plus overtime), depending on experience. This is a great role for someone looking to advance their career or a trainee seeking experience and growth in a rewarding industry.

Role Requirements

  • NVQ Horticultural qualification (desirable)
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail, punctuality, reliability, and a solid work ethic
  • Knowledge of plants, garden maintenance, and use of tools (both power and hand tools)
  • Enthusiastic, passionate, and committed to quality work
  • A clean driver's licence is essential
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues
  • Due to the nature of the sites, candidates will undergo a DBS check
  • References will be requested for successful interviewees

Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of garden maintenance, including pruning, hedge cutting, weeding, and lawn mowing
  • Regular communication with the office as needed
  • Provide clients with suggestions to improve their gardens
  • Plan and prioritise year-round garden maintenance tasks, ensuring appropriate work is carried out during each visit
  • Confidently engage with clients, providing updates on work completed and recommending ways to improve and develop their gardens
