STOCK CONDITION SURVEYOR. Our client, an award-winning multi-disciplinary practice are looking to recruit an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor. Established as market leaders in the social housing sector providing outstanding services to our local authority and housing associations with a commitment to excellence, innovation and client satisfaction.

Role Overview:

You will provide surveying support to the Asset Management Surveys team that primarily delivers housing stock condition survey projects.

With an acute attention to detail and strong organisational skills you will utilise these traits to prioritise your tasks to ensure that deadlines are adhered to.

Working alongside different members of the team and wider practice you will work collaboratively to deliver successful projects and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Stock Condition Surveys: Conduct stock condition surveys using a variety of tablet based data capture software solutions. Record Health and Safety data in accordance with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).   

Energy Surveys: Conduct inspections and gather data using RdSAP methodology. On designated projects, lodge Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).  

Validation Surveys: Provide support to the team on data assurance projects by validating data gathered by others.

Research: On occasions, c onduct task based desktop research and data analysis to support project objectives.

Communication: Communicate effectively with the Survey Administrators within the team, property residents and Client representatives in order to gain access to properties for the purpose of carrying out inspections.

Project Tracking: Assist with the provision of information to other members of the team to facilitate the monitoring of project timelines, deliverables, and budgets, with reference to milestones and Key Performance Indicators. On occasions, deputise for other colleagues within the team during periods of absence and annual leave, as directed.

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you may be expected to perform different tasks within the organisation and in line with the overall business objectives of the Practice.

Skills and Experience

  • Significant stock condition survey experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction materials and anticipated lifecycles
  • Thorough understanding of building defects and Housing Health and Safety Rating System reporting
  • Proficient in the use of mobile data capture software on tablet PCs
  • Must be an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite
  • Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel with occasional overnight stays
