Career Teachers are working with a lovely Primary School based in Ossett, who require a Year 2 Teacher to start on 24 February 2025 until May half-term to cover a sickness absence.

Ideally you will have spent significant time working in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2. Intervention/Boosters experience would be a real bonus but this is not essential.

The right candidate will be highly organised with excellent classroom management skills. Setting high expectations at all times and helping to invigorate and inspire pupils throughout their journey.

You must be confident with behaviour management, be able to lead the support staff within your classroom and create informative schemes of work.

Ideally you will have great curriculum knowledge and the ability to make your lessons are both engaging and fun.

The role requires a teacher with:

  • Experience of teaching within Key Stage 1
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Booster and Intervention experience
  • The natural ability to plan and deliver the current primary curriculum with confidence
  • The ability to provide engaging, quality education to pupils
  • The ability be creative and demonstrate fun and intelligent classroom management skills
  • The ability to build strong relationships with the primary school staff, children and parents
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
