We are currently recruiting for a Quality Controller in the Ossett area WF5. The Quality Controller ensures that the products made in the facility conform to industry, company, and consumer expectations - and do so consistently. They hold and segregate any products that do not meet given standards. With the goal of minimizing cost, guaranteeing quality & maximizing efficiency.Pay £32,488 (£15.62 phr)Working hours - 7-7 (12hrs)Working shift pattern:Week 1 - Mon & Tues Days, Wed, Thurs & Fri NightsWeek 2 - Wed Thurs & Fri DaysWeek 3 - Mon & Tues NightsAverage of 40hrs per weekJob Details* To carry out all quality inspections on finished products (Metal Detection, Weights, Coding & Labelling)* Conduct Recurring inspections (Golden 6, Hygiene Assessments, Glass & Perspex)* Distribute and reporting of relevant quality & food safety KPI's.* Provide support and communicate to the shift manager/Technical dept any issues which may affect the quality/safety of the product.* Provide concise and accurate information to support any investigations.* Adhere to food safety, H&S and environmental standards, and requirements.* Conduct & drive the lineside taste panel.* Drive the safety first, quality always culture.Skills required* Knowledge & experience of QC testing equipment.* Desire to work in a quality role.* Ability to prioritise own workload in accordance with business needs.* High level of accuracy/attention to detail.* Confidence and ability to make decisions.* Clear communication skills* Ability to use computer programmes such as Excel, OAL & ICCS
